MediSoft Advanced Patient
Accounting Single User
MediSoft Advanced for Windows
follow the same traditions of the
regular system. Its multi-tasking
features will let you print and send
insurance claims. As the system advances
towards new era system capabilities,
printing reports can be done
electronically. MediSoft systems are
real Windows program. Take advantage of
features like a common database format
that lets you exchange information with
other compatible programs and the
standard Windows interface you're
familiar with.
Listed below are the minimum
system requirements needed to
run Medisoft Version 12.
Please note, if you barely meet
the minimum requirements, your
performance could be affected.
The program will run, but you
may encounter lag.
Workstation

or higher, 1GB of available
hard disk space, 1 GB RAM,
16+ color display, Windows
2000 Professional or Windows
XP Professional.
Server System
Requirements (Recommended):
Pentium 4
2.6Ghz processor or higher,
2GB of available hard disk
space, 1 GB of RAM per every
5 users [up to 4 GB for 25
users], 16+ color display,
Windows 2003 Server [Notice
that Microsoft is about to
face out Server 2000.
IMPORTANT FOR ALL
SYSTEMS: WE STRONGLY
RECOMMEND A VIDEO CARD WITH
AT LEAST 256 MB RAM. THIS IS
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AS NEW
VERSIONS OF MEDISOFT REQUIRE
MORE RESOURCES. NOT HAVING A
CARD WITH ITS OWN MEMORY
WILL RESULT IN A SLOWER
SYSTEM. MediSoft Advanced features are not found in
other MediSoft products:
- Pop-up patient account ledger window to get a quick look
at patient accounts.
- Payment application to automatically post payments, adjustments,
and deductibles to the correct case.
- Security features to protect sensitive accounting information.
- Audit files and an audit report to identify changes and
deletions in billing data.
- Custom patient data screen to store extra, user-defined
information.
- Cascade insurance billing to hold claims for secondary
and tertiary carriers until the prior carrier has paid or
responded.
- Remainder statements to let you bill a patient for any
amounts remaining after all their insurance has paid.
- Referral source report to identify the source of new patients.
- Referring physician report to pinpoint valuable referral
sources when a practice depends on physician referrals.
- Billing/payment status report to help office staff staff
track the billing and payment progress on each charge.
- Multiple fee schedules to help you charge the right price
for every procedure, automatically.
- Bank deposit entry and deposit report to enter deposit
information into MediSoft and use the information to print
a deposit report.
- Billing charge to automatically create a billing charge
on past-due accounts.
Note on Windows Vista
Medisoft
Version 12, as well as earlier versions,
do not currently function with the
Microsoft Windows Vista operating
system. Therefore, we cannot make any
guarantee of, or warranty the stability
or functionality of, any version of
Medisoft used in conjunction with
Microsoft Windows Vista. We will be
conducting compatibility testing and
will provide updates as they become
available.
